There was no doubt that Jonathan Honorato made a big impact on the student body as the news of his tragic passing spread. The hallways were flooded with white Thursday, as students dressed in white clothing to honor Honorato’s life. A ground swell of authentic and student-led support showed itself when students created a tree of white in the main lobby. Students could share their memories and messages to the 17-year-old young man on the white flowers of the tree.

White ribbons could be seen throughout campus. A memorial was later held after school in the theater and continued on the practice field. Flameless candles lit up the theater and night sky.

Honorato was involved in a motor vehicle accident on the east side of town in the early morning hours Tuesday. The incident is still under close investigation by police.
